The house
Our story
Maisón London began in 1994 with one bench, one loupe and a stubborn idea: that fine jewellery should be made where it is sold.
Hatton Garden, 1994
The house was founded above a stone dealer's office in Hatton Garden, London's jewellery quarter, with a single goldsmith's bench and a commission book that took two years to fill.
Three decades on we still work in the same square mile, in a workshop where every setter, polisher and engraver is on the payroll rather than the phone.
How we make
Designs begin as gouache drawings, are carved or cast in the workshop, then hand-set, hand-polished and hallmarked at the London Assay Office. A single pavé band can pass through six pairs of hands.
What we believe
That a piece should outlive its owner. That repair is part of the sale, not an afterthought. And that the person who sells you a ring should be able to tell you the name of the person who set it.
